Emergency Supplies Checklist
The following checklist should be followed for you and your family to be better prepared for any type of emergency. Store enough supplies for at least three to five days.
q Water – one gallon per person per day
q Food – packaged, canned, no-cook, baby food, and for special diets.
q First aid kit
q First aid book
q Can opener (non-electric)
q Portable radio with spare batteries Flashlight with spare batteries
q Blankets or sleeping bags
q Essential medication and eye glasses
q Fire extinguisher – A-B-C type
q Food and water for pets
q Money
q Large plastic trash bags
q Sanitation kit – plastic bucket, toilet paper, plastic bags and ties, etc.
q Paper towels
q Large trash cans
q Bar soap and liquid detergent
q Shampoo
q Toothpaste and toothbrushes
q Feminine and infant supplies
q Household bleach – for disinfecting and water purification
q Barbecue or camp stove for cooking outside
q Sturdy shoes and change of clothes
q Paper plates and cups
q Plastic knives, forks and spoons
q Stress relievers – puzzles, games or books
q Work gloves
q Copies of vital documents – insurance, mortgage, will, licenses, etc.
