How the County of Ventura is fulfilling State Law

In coordination with AB 32 and as directed by the Board of Supervisors, the County has been working on the development of a Climate Change Action Plan for County Operations over the last few years.

This plan is scheduled to be completed in the Spring of 2010. Once completed, the County Climate Change Action (CCAP) Team will begin work on a Community Climate Change Action Plan. The CCAP plans to form a stakeholder group which will contain members from government agencies, members of the public, the business sector, and environmental groups.

The County will also reach out to surrounding jurisdictions to participate in developing this plan to be county or bi-county or even tri-county. A variety of seminars and public meetings are expected to be held during the development of this plan in order to obtain as much input from the community as possible.
