Our team works to improve the health of families with children by educating people, especially new parents, about nutrition and wellness and by providing nutritious foods to families in need. We help families who have children with special needs get health and medical services, and provide health services for children in foster families. Nurses work with individuals and families to assess health and well-being and provide direct services.
We also work to reduce exposure to toxic substances, and help children who have been exposed to lead. Family Health staff members work in homes, schools and with agencies that serve children.
