VENTURA COUNTY WATERWORKS DISTRICT NO. 16 PIRU WATER AND SEWER SERVICES
Ventura County Waterworks District No. 16 (District) was formed on May 8, 1972. The District provides sewer services to over 400 customers in the community of Piru, and it delivers potable water to customers along Pacific Avenue. The District owns and manages a wastewater system and treatment plant with a design capacity of 0.26 million gallons per day (mgd). Wastewater is treated using a “secondary” treatment process.
The Ventura County Board of Supervisors is the governing body of the District. Ventura Regional Sanitation District operates and maintains the wastewater treatment plant under a contract with the District.
