The Road Maintenance Division maintains 545 miles of public road infrastructure in the unincorporated area of the County. Typical work includes servicing and preserving most of the features within the public right of way like roadways, storm drain facilities, bridges; performing pothole and crack sealing, pavement overlays, and shoulder re-grading; repairing traffic signage, traffic control devices, and tree trimming.

Unlike in most of the cities in Ventura County, the maintenance of sidewalks and tree trimming is the responsibility of the adjacent property owner. Street sweeping is another service not offered by our Maintenance crews. For street light installation and repair, contact Southern California Edison.
