First, screen yourself for eligibility by determining whether you meet all five of the criteria listed in the table below.
Important Note: The criteria listed below are basic eligibility criteria. Your case manager will inform you if additional criteria (and additional documentation requirements) apply depending on the type of assistance you are seeking.
Then, determine whether you have proof of your income, a document stating your current address, photo IDs for all adults in your household, and Social Security Cards for all members of your household.

1. Homeless or facing eviction within 30 days
1. Certification of Homelessness document*
2. Household income limits are determined by family size (example: income limit for family of three is $40,200, see below for income chart)
2. Proof of all income (such as pay stubs, Notice of Action for public benefits, Social Security notice)
3. No other housing options or financial resources that would allow you to find or keep housing
3. Proof of income/benefits and completed budget worksheet*
4. Ventura County resident and U.S. citizen or qualified resident alien
4. Document stating current address (such as a utility bill) 5. Photo ID (for all adults in household) 6. Social Security Card (for all household members)
5. Financial ability to maintain housing after this rental assistance is received
