This nonprofit public benefit corporation was established by its incorporators upon request of the Board of Supervisors in 1973 in order to assist with the financing of major capital projects and equipment purchases for the County Government Center. Subsequently, the corporation scope was broadened to include county capital projects and equipment purchased countywide and not just for the County Government Center.
The directors' primary responsibility is to work in conjunction with the Board of Supervisors in considering and voting on applicable projects, approving financing transactions and other necessary documents. They receive technical assistance from county staff toassist then in making decisions relatin gto their responsibilities.
The corporation's directors are elected each year at the corporation's annual meeting.

Meetings: Public Facilities Corporation meets annually on the third Monday in September. Date and location of meetings are posted at the County Government Center. Special Meetings are held as necessary.
