The City Selection Committee is comprised of the mayors of all 10 incorporated cities in Ventura County.The Clerk of the Board serves as secretary to the City Selection Committee (CSC).

Various California codes require that the City Selection Committee appoint members of certain public entities. When a vacancy occurs or will occur, the agency contacts the Clerk of the Board to request that a City Selection Committee meeting be scheduled.

There are also several local organizations that have elected to have members of their commissions, committees, and boards, appointed by the City Selection Committee.

The City Selection Committee currently meets in the Camarillo City Council Conference Room, 601 Carmen Drive, CA. Meeting time is 7:30 a.m. Room reservations are made by the CSC secretary after the date has been selected by the Chair of the committee.
