When Santa Paula Hospital re-opened its doors in July 2006, one of the most anticipated units for many Santa Clara Valley residents was maternity/obstetrics. With a recent renovation, which added 6 new private rooms (for a total of 9 private rooms), and a state-of-the-art security system, Santa Paula Hospital has become the choice of mothers throughout Ventura County for delivering their babies. No other hospital in Ventura County offers the home-like atmosphere – complete with breathtaking country views – as Santa Paula Hospital’s maternity unit.
The hospital hosts monthly tours for expectant mothers and fathers (check the hospital’s monthly calendar for upcoming dates) and offers classes beyond your babies “birth day” so that you can get questions answered and have a successful first year with your baby. The hospital caters to new mothers and fathers, and is a designated “baby-friendly” hospital, one of only a handful in the state. This ensures that new mothers are given all the support they need to nurse their new babies.
If you are pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant and want to see what the Santa Paula Hospital maternity experience is like, call the hospital and speak directly with an OB nurse.
