Auxiliary and Volunteer Services
The mission of the VCMC/Santa Paula Auxiliary Volunteer Services Department is to assist hospital staff to make more efficient use of their skills and time. We also provide the priceless service of human kindness to our patients and their families.
Our volunteers greatly enhance patient care by assisting with the admitting or discharging of patients, passing out food trays, delivering flowers, answering call buttons, distributing reading material to patients from our book cart, visiting a patient in need, and providing spiritual care. Some volunteers use their computer and clerical skills to provide organizational support to various hospital and clinical departments and others use their sales skills in the gift shop.
Gift Shop/Fundraising: The Auxiliary Volunteers operate the Santa Paula Hospital Gift Shop and all proceeds benefit the hospital. Volunteers are also encouraged to get involved in special fundraising activities that benefit our hospital.
Location: To the right of the main entrance of the hospital
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Community Services: Volunteers are involved in a variety of events and programs sponsored by community organizations that directly benefit our hospital, such as health fairs, flu clinics, blood drives, community education, etc.
